Philips SNB6500 loses connection
Symptoms: the Philips SNB6500 wireless base station seems to be disconnected from internet and you cannot even login to the base station. The only thing left to do is cut the power and reboot the base station. If this happens to you, here’s the cure:
Solution: perform a firmware upgrade
The latest firmware with upgrade manual can be found here. Be careful: all your settings (e.g. PPPoE, NAT, Virtual server, …) will be gone. And that’s not mentioned in the manual on how to do the upgrade.

We’ve experienced the same thing and took u’r advise and it works great. thx.
But now we’ve got a new problem that i wonder if u know anything about.
when we’re logged on to msn it keeps logout and in every 4-5 min and.

Hi Robin,
check out http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/SMC/7004FW/MSN_Messenger.htm to which ports you need to forward to your IP address. The procedure would be the same as described in http://www.anabelamor.be/blog/2006/12/28/emule-lowid-and-kad-firewalled/
I don’t use msn myself, so I cannot test it.
