eMule LowID and KAD firewalled
So you’re using the eMule and the KAD network but you cannot seem to have a HighID and your KAD stays Firewalled. You’ve changed everything in your (software) firewall and even tried switching it off, but no luck. Then you probably use some kind of router that is causing all of this. Mine (see other post) is a Philips SNB6500, but what I’m about to say goes for all.
Log in to your router and look for the NAT settings. In my case, that’s in the Advanced settings of the router. Next, look for the Virtual Server settings. There, you need to tell the router that all trafic for port 4661 (TCP) and 4672 (UDP) needs to be forwarded to your IP address and to the ports that eMule uses in your configuration. If you haven’t changed anything after installing, that will be also 4661 (TCP) and 4672 (UDP).
Be aware that when your computer changes IP (new DHCP lease), you need to log into the router again and adapt to the new IP address. Alternatively, you can work with fix IP addresses.
